Support & Frequently Asked Questions

What do the colors of the route on the map mean?

When viewing Activity Details in Cadence you can set the color of your recorded route to various metrics to visualize how you did at specific locations. All color coding except the default “Distance” requires a subscription to Cadence Pro or Elite.

Color coded routes have the following support:

  • iOS devices: Apple, Google, and Mapbox maps all support color coded routes.
  • Android devices: only Mapbox supports color coded routes.

Distance

The color coding of the route represents different data during your ride. By default, it shows distance, transitioning from blue (start) to red (finish).

Speed / Heart Rate / Cadence / Power / Elevation

Other metrics like speed, heart rate, cadence, power, and elevation, show values transitioning from blue (low) to red (high).

Grade

The grade colors match the route elevation chart.
