I’ve been riding with a Garmin Edge 830 for years (plus the Varia radar, speed/cadence sensors, power meter—you name it). But I recently tried Cadence, and it’s completely changed the game.

This app isn’t just good—it’s insanely good.

It synced effortlessly with all my Garmin sensors, including the Varia radar. The radar display in Cadence is better than Garmin’s—full sidebar view, detailed car info, even a separate radar screen. It feels modern, polished, and intuitive in a way traditional bike computers don’t.

The customizable data screens, clean design, and heart rate + power zone integration are next level. I even tested the safety beacon, and my partner could see everything—heart rate, speed, location—in real time. That feature alone makes it worth it.

Cadence made me rethink using a dedicated bike computer. With my phone + this app + a Quad Lock mount, I have everything I need—and better. Huge props to the developers. I’ve gone all-in on the Elite tier and couldn’t be happier.

This is the future of bike computers.
